"A writer is someone for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people."

— Thomas Mann

I'm a writer, editor, musician and filmmaker, not necessarily in that order (it depends on time of day). I'm the co-editor of the long-running literary journal Caveat Lector, a lover of fiction and film criticism (visit my film review blog Camera Roll), and I'm striking out with my first short story collection, China Girl. I currently reside in San Francisco, although my wanderlust has led me to many different countries, including a stint in Asia.

My most recent book is Bond Movies: A Retrospective — a deep dive into the entire James Bond film franchise, from Dr. No to No Time to Die, packed with trivia, criticism, and the kind of obsessive detail that only a lifelong Bond fan could muster.
